Wispwood is a family-friendly tile-laying and pattern-building game set in a magical forest aglow with mischievous wisps. Players take on the role of forest caretakers, laying down colorful polyomino tiles to attract and satisfy the whims of these glowing spirits—all while a curious cat prowls nearby, drawn to the brightest lights.

Each turn, players select a double-sided wisp/tree tile from a shared display and choose how to fit its polyomino shape into their own forest grid. Wisps have unique placement preferences, rewarding clever positioning and long-term planning. Between the game’s three scoring phases, the forest subtly resets—clearing some tiles while preserving others—challenging players to adapt and reconfigure their strategy while maintaining continuity.

With rotating goal cards, randomized tile options, and charming art, Wispwood offers a cozy yet strategic experience that encourages creativity and spatial intuition. The solo mode adds replayable puzzles for those seeking a quiet walk through the woods.
